Amazing Achievement by Arryn Lyness! St. Colman’s College Newry Student to Represent Ireland and UK at Microsoft World Championships in USA
Arryn, a Year 13 student at St. Colman's College and past pupil oif St. Colman's Bann Primary School Laurencetown, has been selected to represent Ireland and the UK at the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championships in Orlando, Florida this July. Arryn earned his place after achieving a perfect score in an incredibly fast time in the Excel category at the Irish National Finals held at Microsoft HQ in Dublin. As part of our enrichment programme, all S3 students complete globally recognised, industry -standard MOS certifications in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, helping them build real-world digital skills. Arryn, who is currently studying Maths, Further Maths and Software Systems Development at A Level, hopes to pursue a career in software or mobile app development. We wish him every success as he prepares to take the global stage. Arryn is the 4th son of Paul and Sorcha Lyness and Arryn and his dad Paul are off to Florida on an all expenses paid trip which includes 2 x 3 day passes to Disneyland

Congratulations to our young parishioner, Arryn Lyness, who was placed 7th in the world in the Excel category of the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championships, held in Orlando, Florida (USA).
Arryn is the son of Paul and Sorcha Lyness, grandson of Dessie and Ann Nicoletti, past pupil of St. Colman's Bann and just finished his final year in St. Colman's College.
