I am delighted for Gilfordonline to be back. Jonathan Higgins has been 

taking care of this site and doing a great job(I went school with his 

father Brian Higgins they live in Gilford.) I am enjoying my retirement 

although I am very busy, hope to be home next year my great nephew 

Connor Lennon will be getting married.  Please keep up the good work at 

your church and School.

It was a pleasure to visit your parish in pictures. I visited my uncle 

Jack Rice who lived in Hazelbank Cottage in August 1964. The photos 

brought back fond memories of my time with him and the places he showed me 

during my stay..Sunday Mass at the parish Church. the tour of the 

county and my visit with the Paddy Laughlins residing at 19 Rathfriland 

street in Banbridge. Some day I hope to return with my Canadian family. I 

am the grandaughter of Elizabeth Rice Devlin who immegrated to Montreal 

Quebec Canada in the early 1900'S I would love to have more information 

about the Rice family as I know we are the only living relatives of 

Uncle Jack
