The T.L.C. group decided to repeat their Christmas Sale in aid of Sr. Bernadette's 'Displaced Children' charity and raised a total of £3,295.00.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the sale.

Prior to the actual sale £1,250.00 was raised through donations and ticket sales. On the Friday night of the sale £1,750.00 was collected, which was great as Fr. Sean McCartan, a friend of Sr. Bernadette's was flying out to South Africa on Sunday and had kindly agreed to take the money with him.  So on Saturday, Mairead Magee and Catherine McEvoy went with Sean and Joannie Duffy to meet Fr. Sean and hand over the '£3,000.00'. We also sent photos taken on the night.

The reason we send the cash is that it makes life simpler for Sr. Bernadette. If we send a cheque or money transfer, it takes quite a while for her to actually get her hands on the money and because this is specifically for Christmas, it means that she can start the shopping immediately!

We opened the Den again on Saturday and Sunday after Mass and collected a further £295.00 which we will keep for next year.

This collection is separate to our Education 4 Life Fund.

The E4L Fund is still very much in operation and money is transferred to Sr. Bernadette when she needs it.
