On Saturday 6th August '16, local Gilford girl, Annemarie Gaillard, completed her first Olympic distance triathlon for the homeless charity, 'Crisis' and animal charity, 'The Soi Dog Foundation'. 

Taking part in the "2016 London Triathlon", Annemarie, who lives in London and is currently completing her Masters Degree in Drama Therapy, finished the gruelling 1.5km swim (in the Thames!), 40km bike ride and 10km run in an commendable 3hrs 8mins 46 secs.
