Family Searches: Breen | Print |  E-mail
Hi

I have been looking for the birth of my Gt Grandfather Patrick Breen for about 14 yeras. I finally found an entry for the birth of one of his children on the IGI stating that Patrick was born in Tullylish. He would have been born around 1850, he married Mary Quin(n) in 1875. I found a marriage for a Patrick Breen and Mary Quin 1875 St Malachys Church Belfast on Ancestry Ireland. I did send for the marriage certificate, but the record office told me that they couldn't find a copy of it and perhaps as a Catholic marriage it may not have been registered!!

I am trying to get back further with my Irish Ancestry which I am very proud of, by trying to find the parents of Mary Quin and Patrick Breen. My Grandmother was Charlotte Breen born Rostrevor in 1890. Patrick and Mary had children Sarah, Bridget, Isabella, Elizabeth, Arthur and John all born Lawrencetown, Banbridge and Rostrevor areas.

Any help with tracing my Irish roots would be very much appreciated and I will be willing to pay any costs incurred.

Many thanks for your time

Dorothy
